The Art Collections An inventory of the collections is currently being carried out using the adlib software so that data exchanges can be set up with other museums. The more important pieces will feature in a permanent exhibition on the Foundation’s website and other Belgian or foreign museums will be able to take the pieces out on loan and thus show them as part of their temporary or permanent exhibitions. The Hamel collections are extremely rich and varied. They include
some beautiful family portraits, 17th century still life paintings,
carved wooden panels and valuable drawings. They also include pieces
of Meissen porcelain and Brussels faience, a collection of plates bearing
the coat of arms of the 18th century India Company, Delft vases, glasses
in Bohemian crystal, silverware and medals.
