The Hamel is unlike any other museum you may come across. Its principle mission is to give the whole world access at any point in time to the collection by exhibiting the objects on its Internet site.

In the grounds music concerts and temporary exhibitions will bring the promenade to life while adding cultural interest for visitors. The Foundation also aims to play an external role as sponsor or co organiser of other artistic events. A first example of this is the partnership that has already been set up with the Maaseiker Musea. And finally, each year starting in 2006, the Foundation will award its International Art Critic Prize.
